Last weekend was crazy hot on the east coast so I wanted a look that was casual (i.e. nothing clingy) but of course, still cute.I don't think I've ever worn cargo pants (I'm more of a skinny jeans kinda gal), but I was determined to work them in my wardrobe somehow. Pairing the cargos with a feminine top kept the outfit from being a little too rugged. I rolled the hem up and threw on some platform pumps to complete the look. It's definitely something different for me...

Last week I was seriously craving Mexican food and remembered my old stomping grounds of Astoria, Queens (that’s where I first lived when I moved to NY). At El Cafetal, the food is cheap, good and cheap! The taco meals are all under $10 and keep you full for hours.

If you’re ever in the area you should definitely check it out for some cheap eats. What’s even better is the restaurant is right next to a thrift store, The Second Best Thrift Shop, that has tons of great furniture.
