Earlier this week I gave you guys a look at what I wore during my San Francisco trip. But you know I couldn't venture to a new city without checking out the thrift shopping scene. Let me tell you, San Fran thrifting is amazing! I thrifted last year in L.A. but the Bay Area is by far {in my opinion} superior and more convenient. I actually had two days of secondhand shopping, but for today, let's focus on the shopping I did in the Mission. Chandra from MoMoMod suggested I check this area out and I'm glad she did.

The Mission is a pretty colorful neighborhood in its design {peep the awesome mural above} and the eccentric personalities. My first stop of the day was Thrift Town {2101 Mission St}. As soon as I walked in, I knew I was going to become BFFs with Thrift Town. It was organized and massive: two floors and pretty spread out.

Thrifty Threads 365 challenge A few weeks ago I went to a bday party for my girl Christina of LoveBrownSugar and I wanted a look that was fun, cute and a bit flirty. So naturally I pulled together a head to toe thrifted outfit. I love bright colors and sequins so why not rock them together?

Normally I would go either/or {the red pants or a sequin jacket} but since it was a party, I went allll out. After getting dressed I realized my head to toe look was less than $20.

Fridays are usually my Thrifty Threads posts where I show you guys how I put together outfits using my thrift store finds, but you'll notice there's no photo of my fly threads. That's because my Thrifty Threads 365 challenge {a year of only purchasing thrift store clothing} officially ended yesterday. Yes, I made it through an entire year of only relying on thrift stores for my "new" clothes. I can honestly say I've had a blast on this challenge that was anything but challenging. I hope I've showed you guys...

I love the joy of thrifting. It's not just the idea of adding a new piece to my closet but I actually like digging through bins and racks to discover a cheap, unique treasure. However, I understand not everyone shares that feeling. Some people just don't have the patience or time for it. Luckily, a few thrift and vintage stores let you shop online. Yup, you can score secondhand clothing and accessories from the comfort of your living room.

I briefly mentioned online thrift shopping as an option if you don't have any great stores in your area, but I decided to expand on it. Below are a few options to shopping thrift and vintage online.ShopHousingWorks.com Though Housing Works is based in New York City, their website let's you shop from anywhere. If you're specifically looking for higher end designers {Chloé, Marc Jacobs, Diane von Furstenberg}, this is the site to check out for chic coats, dresses and more. You can buy items or bid on them eBay style.

This weekend I made a trip to Housing Works {157 East 23rd St} and after less than five minutes in the store, my heart stopped. I'm working on a project and was shopping for other people but I inevitably found something for myself.

Leafing through an entire rack of clothing, especially if it's tightly packed, can be time consuming, but I always tell people to maintain a sharp eye for colors and patterns they love.Since I'm a sucker for anything shimmery, this black and gold blazer clearly stood out. Besides the awesome collar, it's the other details that really caught my eye. The gold buttons...
