When and why did you start thrift shopping? My late grandmother absolutely loved thrifting and as a child, I never quite understood it. I simply could not get with the idea of wearing secondhand clothes! It wasn’t until I started blogging two years ago that I really got into it and I’m so glad I did. My grandmother would be proud. I absolutely love mixing old and new.
What three words would you use to describe your style? Stylish. Thrifted. Chic.

Reselling thrift store clothes, ethical fashion
Last week a reader commented and asked a question I've heard before. Of course I responded directly to her but since this isn't the first time the question has come up, I decided to blog about it and see what you guys think.
After writing my 3 Tips to Selling Clothes Online {clothes you've outgrown or amazing pieces you thrifted}, Vyla asked: "...don't you think the people who donated that stuff to thrift stores wants someone who normally can't afford the item to enjoy it? Instead of you reselling it and making a profit?"
I can understand why some people would have an issue with or feel conflicted about making a profit off of something that was donated as an act of charity.

affordable nyc thrift store, cheap new york thrift stores

I tend to get the same question over and over, "Patrice, what's your favorite thrift store in NYC?" Well, I've done quite a few posts on my favorites {including thrift shopping 101}, but this post is all about my favorite, most affordable shops. These are the places I go when I want serious bang for my limited buck. Yes, New York can be expensive and some thrift stores charge $10, $15 or even $20 for a basic dress, but not these shops.Check out my top three picks for most affordable thrift stores in New York. I'm talking as low as less than $1 for vintage and designer goods.

Looking Fly on a Dime thriftspiration, thrift store style

Name: Andrea Camille Location: Fremont, CA

When and why did you start thrift shopping? Of course the prices for thrifted clothes are a big plus but to me it's more than that. It's a way for me to express my creativity with items that are new and old. I love mixing up my thrift finds with today's fashion.Thrifting has given me my own style and I love that I can express myself differently through my outfits.

What reactions do you get when you tell people your outfit is thrifted? They looked confused and surprised! It amazes a lot of people that something second hand and used (or sometimes not used) can be played around stylishly with today's fashion.
