how to pack, how to pack a carry on

What: Miamica travel accessories that keep you organized and in style.Why: I'm a bit anal retentive and OCD. Anyone who knows me can attest to that. And I get anxious when everything isn't in its proper place {don't judge me!}. So I was beyond excited to learn about Miamica. The line of fun travel accessories has everything you need to stay organized while you're on the go.

Essence Music Festival fashion event

Yesterday I gave you the inside dish on the vintage dress I wore to my Best Dressed Madame soiree while I was at Essence Music Festival in New Orleans and now it's time for the event recap. The night was full of fun, giveaways and some amazing costumes. Hosted at May Baily's Bar at the Dauphine Hotel, we took a cue from the past to come up with some cheeky games. The bar used to be a brothel {they still have a red light on outside!} so we asked ladies to come dressed up in feathers, boas, glam gowns or anything that made them feel sexy.

travel guide, traveling on a dime{my trust Target carry-on I've had for eight years}

I have a confession to make: I've never checked a bag while flying. Besides not wanting to deal with the hassle of retrieving my luggage and paying ridiculous fees, I have fears of an airline losing my beloved property. This means that I'm a bit of a pro when it comes to packing a carry on bag. Of course we all know to roll and tuck clothes tightly so you can fit more, but what to bring is just as important.All clothes, accessories and even beauty products should pull double or even triple duty so you can switch up your look without overloading your bag.
