This weekend I trekked to Brooklyn for a little retail therapy at Beacon's Closet. I've heard of the store for years, but this was my first time visiting the shop where you can buy, sell and trade your used clothing and accessories.I was uber impressed on every level. The store was organized, clothes were affordable (most pieces were $11-$15) and the accessories were swoon-worthy.

Fashionistas, it's here. If you're not familiar with Nordstrom Rack, all you need to know is it's the discounted version of the mega department store. And last week, Rack opened its doors in New York City. The outlet has designer items (shoes, apparel and accessories) at up to 70 percent off retail prices.I stopped in and immediately made my way to the shoe department and was impressed with the prices and selections. Tons of Michael Kors, L.A.M.B. and Badgley Mischka. I don't think I came across a shoe that was more than $199, most were in the $100-$150 range.

This store may become a serious addiction for me. I hate outlet stores that claim "brands too hot to name" and then the selection is blah. But Rack lives up to the hype.

Ah, the sight of a well dressed man makes my heart smile. Well put together, clean cut and just FLY. Last week Gilt, the exclusive online sample sale, launched an endeavor just for the fellas, Gilt Man. Gilt has always offered designer duds for men but this latest addition goes a bit further with athletic wear, gadgets and other guy stuff. The new site's described as "a hardware store selling the tools for life: workware, playware, lifeware." Sounds good to me!Click here to join....
