How to Rock the Hottest Color of the Season
Last week's Oscars meant the end to red carpet season and if there's one thing we know for sure {besides the fact that Lupita Nyong'o is a goddess!}, it's that emerald green is a hue for all complexions.
I have to admit, I wasn't always a big fan of green. I don't hate it, but I can count the number of green items in my closet on one hand and still have two fingers left over.
But this season we saw women of every color showing love to the deep green. From Lupita's deep complexion to Sandra Bullock's fair skin, every woman can go green. And I found some affordable pieces to make it easy and offer inspiration.

What to Wear on Valentine's DayHere’s my theory on Valentine's Day. It's a day of love, whether it's love for your significant other, friends or simply yourself – so it should be embraced! That said,  Valentine’s Day falls on Friday this year and that can only mean one thing - you’ll need an outfit that is not only perfect for the office but equally as perfect for your evening plans. Whether you’ll be jetting off to a romantic dinner or happy hour with the girls, I took the liberty of putting together three looks that are sure to have you looking your best. And who knows, maybe the cute guy from the finance department will finally ask you out!

How to Style a Midi Skirt for All Body Types

I can't believe this is already our fifth week into the Cubicle Chic series - oh, how time flies! While we're in the midst of taking our office attire from drab to fab, it seems only fitting to mention a piece that has been around for decades. The midi skirt is the definition of sophistication. If styled right, it's a classy way to show off your figure and change up your look. And if you're confused on how to wear the length {midi skirts can fall just below the knee or a few inches above the ankle!} for your particular body type, check out the looks below.

P&G beauty, photo shoot essentials, looking fly on a dime style blogWell, the above is a bit deceiving. I'm not exactly gracing anyone's red carpet {just yet!}, but I do have to occasionally get glammed up for TV segments and photo shoots for my Thrifty Threads 365 challenge. Though paparazzi may not be snapping my pics or yours, it's important to have a killer beauty routine to go with any style.

And since everything I do is on a budget, that's where P&G Beauty products come in. You know their brands: Olay, Pantene, COVERGirl, Secret, etc. Instead of dropping major cash on department store beauty buys, P&G keeps me covered before, during and after I need to get glammed up or anytime I'm ready to have all eyes on me.
