tech on a dime, tech and fashion, fashion and technology

I'm pretty much addicted to my phone. Like most people, my phone acts as an appendage. Sometimes I hate how connected I am at times. But it feels like a necessary evil when I'm blogging on the go, turning in assignments and of course taking the occasional selfie or Instagramming a yummy meal. But what I really hate is a sky-high phone bill.So I was excited to hear about the debut of Aio Wireless. The brand launched in select cities earlier this year and they offer something a lot of wireless providers lack: hassle free service, sleek products and major affordability. Their plans range from $40-$70, which includes all {yes, all!} taxes and fees, so you always know how much your bill will be.

If you're not new to Looking Fly on a Dime, then you may remember my Thrifty Threads 365 challenge. And if you're not familiar, let me give you a quick refresher...
Thrifty Threads 365 was a year long thrift shopping challenge I originally started in September 2010. I only purchased secondhand clothing for 365 days {the only new clothing I could buy was undergarments}. Well, I successfully completed two separate cycles of Thrifty Threads 365 {first in September 2010-September 2011 and then October 2011-October 2012}. Both times I shopped thrift and vintage shops and the last time, I even stuck to a $50/month budget. I ended up spending just $460 on clothing for 2012.
Well, I'm thinking of starting Thrifty Threads 365 up again...

"Patrice, I never find anything when I go thrifting!"
I can't tell you how many times I receive emails or tweets like this. And in spite of all of the thrift shopping posts I do {thrift shopping 101, thrift shopping commandments, etc.}, there's always someone who tells me they keep walking away empty handed. Of course I don't mind the emails, you guys can always contact me, but anytime I respond to problems like this, I tell the frustrated shopper they're most likely committing typical thrift shopper sins.
If you keep striking out while thrift shopping, you're probably doing one or all of the things below wrong.
