I'm obsessed with Sunny Anderson on the Food Network. Her show, Cooking for Real, offers scrumptious recipes that even a novice can whip up. A few weeks ago she made Garlic and Olive bows {recipe}. Basically, they're garlic knots but with chopped olives in the middle and in the shape of a bow, instead of a knot. This is a great, super simple treat to pair with pasta, instead of doing the typical garlic bread.

This past weekend I had an exhilarating, awesome, yet exhausting experience at the Salvation Army. You already know I love the Salv {as evidenced in my hauls here and here} but this weekend was the mega Coat Sale. This was my first time attending and it certainly lived up to the hype. Not familiar with the Salvation Army Coat sale? It's held a few times a year and racks upon racks of coats {furs, trenches, bombers, shearlings, etc} are up for grabs. Prices range from $8-$50, depending on length and material.

After an hour and a half of shopping around, I had about 10 or 15 coats, which I eventually whittled down to five. My grand total was $93.94.Click more to see what I scored and a few tips if you plan on buying a thrifted coat.

Last weekend I made my way to Dots while at home in Jersey. It wasn't my intended destination but it was right next to the best store ever {Dollar Tree} so we stopped in for a second.I used to shop at Dots all the time but they don't have locations in NYC so I've been out of luck over the past 3 years. The retailer has 400+ locations and offers great cheap chic fashionable finds. As I stated, I haven't been to one of their locations in years, but it's clear they stepped their game up in the accessories department. I was almost tempted to break my Thrifty Threads 365 challenge!Check out what I found below. Nothing was over $30.
