spring-outerwear-trends-you-can-thrift-shop-thrift-shop-trends Spring is here!!! Sorry for the exclamation marks but after a dreadful winter, I'm happy there are no more mounds of snow or blistering wind chills.
When it comes to the new season, a new or new-to-you {i.e. thrifted!} coat is a must. If there's one piece of spring outerwear you plan to cop, let it be a trench. It's wearable for all occasions and flattering for every figure. Oh, and you can find one at most, if not all, thrift shops. Here's how to do it!

But I do firmly believe in having the best you can afford. That mindset is exactly why I started Looking Fly on a Dime® five years ago. From traveling on a budget to looking my best in spite of making little to no money in NYC, I'm a firm believer that your best has nothing to do with your wallet. Here are a few ways you can have it all, even when your budget is limited.

For a recent outfit I paired two of my thrift faves {Old Navy leather jacket and H&M fur collar} on a day that was chilly but not frigid. And I kept the thrift love going with a little black and white action. Mixing prints can be tricky, but I have an effortless solution for that!

Thrifty Threads 365 is a fashion challenge where I will only thrift shop for an entire year. I’ll show you how it’s easy and wallet friendly to satisfy your style needs with secondhand finds. For full details, check the original post here.

As much as I love leggings, I tend to have the same dilemma every winter. Where are my tights? I mean, leggings are great when you want to pair them with an oversized shirt and some flats or boots, but what about tights on those cold days you want to wear a dress and heels?
So needless to say I was super excited when I heard about L'eggs Convert-a-Tight. With a simple slip of a flap of material, they go from tights to footless leggings in a matter of seconds.
Of course I had to pair them with a few of my favorite thrift store finds and my favorite coat for a warm and cozy winter look.
