Thrift Haul: Summer Accessories

Remember when I suggested you should always start with the accessories when you thrift shop? Well, I follow that same strategy when I want to shop smarter, not harder and it certainly paid off.

Last month I scored awesome jewelry and shoes from the thrift shop and I wanted to share them with you. Also, I’m dishing on a few tips to sanitize secondhand shoes.
As promised earlier this year, I’m making more YouTube videos {subscribe here!} and instead of just showing pictures of my thrift store scores, it made sense to create a short video for you guys!

From futuristic-looking earrings to a dainty cuff to a summer clutch I’m obsessed with, these are pieces I found at the Salvation Army and Housing Works over the last month. Oh, and they were all $5 each.

Also, the most “expensive” item I thrifted so far this year has been a pair of $13 Michael Kors nude ankle strap sandals. You first saw them in last week’s Thrifty Threads outfit post where they complimented my all-black number. They’re absolutely perfect for me and super comfortable, so they were well worth the price.

Check out the short video below to see the items up close and personal. And I’m even sharing tips on how to sanitize your thrifted jewelry and shoes.

How do you sanitize your thrift store accessories and shoes? What’s the best item you thrifted lately?
