Thrifty Threads 365: Bodycon Dress from Day to Night
Let me start off by saying I'm not the biggest fan of bodycon dresses. They just feel too va-va-voom for me, but I found a printed H&M bodycon dress I couldn't resist. The simple black and white print and one shoulder batwing sleeve was enough to make me snatch it up when I found it at Housing Works Buy the Bag.
At less than $1, I figured it couldn't turn to give this style a try and I'm so glad I did. Though bodycon dresses can feel a bit sexy, they're easy to take from day to night.

Can you believe we're already into the second quarter of 2014?! As usual, time has gone by way too fast, but sometimes it seems pretty slow, especially since I've given up buying new clothes thanks to my Thrifty Threads 365 challenge {full year of no new clothes, just thrifted!}.
I can honestly say I've held up pretty well over the last three months and haven't felt the need to shop for new clothes, well, not really...

Thrifty Threads 365: No New Clothes for a Year!
Earlier this week the East coast finally had a respite from the massive inches of snow,  but then it began to rain. Don't get me wrong, I'll take rain over snow, but both elements can really put a damper on your style game and especially your footwear.
Luckily I have a few go-to looks and boots for snowy, slushy and/or rainy days. When I need to put the heels away but don't want a clunky wellies, I step into my zigzag vintage boots I scored for less than $10 from the Salvation Army.

I mean, seriously, it can be a bit tough giving up shopping for new clothes for a year! But like I mentioned in my previous 3 Tips to Survive Thrifty Threads 365, it's so important to create a thrift wish list.
When you walk in to a thrift store with absolutely no idea what you're shopping for, it can lead to buyer's remorse, which is something you really don't want when you're budget and options are restricted with Thrifty Threads 365.
