black friday shopping tips, how to shop black friday
If you follow me on Twitter, then you saw my tweet about people in Ohio who lined up for Black Friday sales 10 days in advance.
Well, you clearly don't have to be that crazed to score some major sales this Black Friday. From clothes and accessories that start at just $5 {thanks H&M} to beauty essentials for 10 bucks, you'll have no problem finding goods for yourself or holiday gifts for the ones you love. And since "Black Friday" sales now start on Thursday {or even earlier!} for many retailers, you can start shopping now or at least devise your game plan. There are so many deals out there and it's hard to navigate where to go {either in store or online}, so I've compiled 10 top Black Friday sales.

Remember my beloved Catherine Malandrino for Kohl's pleated dress from earlier this fall? Well, I loved it two months ago and I'm still loving it now. Just because the weather has dipped {it's less than 40 degrees in NYC!!!}, that doesn't mean I put the frock away. The great thing about it is the knit material, which makes it perfect for the frigid temps.
When I previously wore the dress, I went with a bare leg and floral pumps, this time around I threw on a pair of thick tights {just a few dollars from H&M} and some thrift store finds for a cozy and chic style.

It's no secret that I love anything fun, flirty and feminine. But the tricky part about wearing a super feminine piece, particularly tulle, is making sure you don't look like a four year old playing dress up. So when Kohl's sent over this LC Lauren Conrad Tulle Maxi Skirt {available mid November}, I had two thoughts. 1. I'm in love!!!! 2. What am I going to wear it with?!
It was actually quite easy to style this piece. I just whipped out a few wardrobe staples {blouse, chic earrings, bold purse} and a nice layering piece like a vest. And of course, everything was thrifted for just a few bucks.

Fall is in full swing and it's been pretty cold on the east coast. While I'm not ready to whip out my winter coat, I'm all about layering fun fall pieces. And my idea of fun involved a rugged leather jacket and a faux fur vest {both thrifted!}. They're from the Goodwill Outlet {$1.69/pound of clothing}.Jackets with leather sleeves are super trendy and instead of going out and buying one, I decided to layer my vest over the leather jacket. Some people actually thought it was a one piece and asked me where I got my fur jacket with leather sleeves.
