When and why did you start thrift shopping? I stepped foot inside my first thrift store when I was 11, and I still shop there almost every day!  Before that I lived in France where we have city-wide yard sales for the whole town. Those are super fun and that’s where I learned to bargain. Now I thrift full time for my Etsy shop.
What three words would you use to describe your style? Quirky. Misfit. Vintage.
How did you style your outfit {above}? I’ve tried planning my outfits ahead, but that never works, because I never wake up in the same mood or mindset as the night before.  I usually pick one “focus piece” and make it pop by pairing it with something that will accentuate the print, colors or texture.  I started this look with the white and navy shirt and loved that the colors were inverted on the jacket. The sharp vintage lapel bring out the printed collar on the shirt, which I tucked in a pair of high waist polka dot shorts.  The length falls perfectly above the jacket, while still keeping it classy.  And I added an extra retro touch with these bold shades from Buffalo Exchange. I almost never wear jewelry. I think my clothes are pretty loud on their own so I don’t think it’s necessary to accessorize.  I know some people would kill me for saying that.

Leather is typically associated with fall and winter. It's the heavier material you wear when the temps are a bit frigid. But that's changing. We saw tons of leather on the runways of Charlotte Ronson, DKNY and in countless other spring 2013 collections. But exactly how do you wear this material without sweating your buns off? Actually, it's quite easy. And you don't have to pay a major price.
You can choose a pair of shorts, sheath dress or even a biker vest, but I love a great skirt for spring and summer. And last week I picked up a lightweight faux leather skater skirt from Strawberry for $13.

I'm so happy the weather is finally getting nicer and Spring has sprung. But you know what else that means? Spring showers. When the rain starts, it can put a serious damper on your outfit choices. The downpour means the shoes you really want to wear have to stay in the closet and some garments aren't appropriate for gusty winds. But you don't have to let the rain cramp your style.
Check out a few outfit ideas that are fashionable and functional for different occasions and styles. These four looks are perfect for a rainy day.

Looking Fly on a Dime thriftspiration, thrift store style

Name: Andrea Camille Location: Fremont, CA

When and why did you start thrift shopping? Of course the prices for thrifted clothes are a big plus but to me it's more than that. It's a way for me to express my creativity with items that are new and old. I love mixing up my thrift finds with today's fashion.Thrifting has given me my own style and I love that I can express myself differently through my outfits.

What reactions do you get when you tell people your outfit is thrifted? They looked confused and surprised! It amazes a lot of people that something second hand and used (or sometimes not used) can be played around stylishly with today's fashion.
