17 May NY Lean 25 – Looking Healthy on a Dime
If you guys follow me on Twitter, you know I’ve been raving about NY Lean 25 for about a month. The company reached out to a few bloggers to give them an inside peek at what the fitness program is all about. In a nutshell, NY Lean is a 25 minute, high impact workout three days a week. It’s perfect for the gal or guy on the go so I was excited to participate. I completed the program and I’m ready to share the results with you guys {I would never endorse anything I couldn’t personally vouch for.}
A little background on my fitness routine: It was nonexistent! I’m naturally petite {thanks mom} and pretty lean {thanks dad} and my metabolism is freakishly high so I never steadily worked out. However, looks can be deceiving and a small frame doesn’t necessarily equal healthy. So I wanted to change that. Losing pounds wasn’t my focus but tightening, toning and getting my heart pumping was a priority.
Though the workouts are only 25 minutes, they were the most intense 25 minutes I’ve ever experienced. The interval training consisted of ab work, lunges, sprints and more. My muscles burned and after the first workout, my thighs were sore for three days. The program also consists of a diet plan, because fitness isn’t just about exercise. I’m a notorious foodie, but I didn’t feel restricted on this plan. I just upped my fruits and veggies intake and reduced my carbs. And frozen grapes are my new fave snack! After about 2 weeks I noticed a change in my body, especially my abs.
After five weeks on the NY Lean 25 program, I lost two inches in my waist, gained an inch in my biceps and thighs and my BMI {body mass index} is down a few points.
Looking Fly on a Dime isn’t just about your style of dress, it’s a lifestyle!
The founder of NY Lean 25, Robert Brace, was beyond amazing. There were days I thought he was the devil with a British accent, but he pushed me and the other participants to keep going. He was even named one of the top celeb personal trainers!
If you’re in the NYC area, NY Lean 25 is definitely worth checking out.
Check out the video below for a first hand look at the intense workout.
