DIY Blogger Challenge

You guys know I’m an avid thrifter but I’m also huge on DIY projects. So I was excited when I was selected as one of 10 bloggers to participate in New York Design Shop’s DIY Blogger Challenge.

They sent each blogger a box of trimmings (fringe, studs, flowers, etc.) and we were to make one or more fashion-related projects. We had free range to create whatever our little sartorial hearts could dream of, but we were limited to the trimmings they provided (the addition of a chain necklace was the only exception).

I had a Nicole Miller dress (thrifted for $1) that I embellished with some studs on the straps and fringe at the hem

My second project involved remixing a pair of Zara shoes that were sitting in my closet.

LOVE LOVE LOVE that dress…it’s very unique and I would definitly wear it out! And the shoes show a great affordable way to dress up a basic shoe.

You know I put my vote in for you! Good Luck 🙂

I love the studs although I’m not so sure about the fringe. It’s beautiful on you nonetheless.
