05 Apr Cheap Eats – Chef Yu
I love finding a great cheap eats spot and thanks to Ms. Kitty Bradshaw, that’s exactly what I found in Chef Yu. Located in NYC’s fashion district, the Chinese restaurant packs a ton of ambiance in its spacious setting.
When I opened the menu, I noticed all of the meals were reasonably priced. Appetizers averaged $6 and meals were about $11. I finally decided upon the pan fried noodles with shrimp.
My eyes lit up when the waiter brought the large plate to the table. I was getting all of this for 10 bucks? The veggies were fresh and not overcooked and the dish had about a half dozen medium sized shrimp. I’m a member of the clean plate club but the portion was so large that I actually took some home for a light lunch the next day.
And they also have a happy hour from 4-8pm with $4 drinks!
Chef Yu will definitely be added to my arsenal of cheap eat spots.
