For the entire year I've solely relied on clothes and accessories from the thrift shop, without spending a single dime on new clothing {excluding underwear, of course!}.What better way to close the challenge out than with a statement making coat? I scored this vintage Christian Dior* double breasted coat from the massive Salvation Army coat sale and I'd say it was $23 well spent!

As you can tell from the title, I'm contemplating another round of Thrifty Threads 365 for 2015. If you're new to the blog, Thrifty Threads 365 is a shopping challenge I created where I only thrift shop for a full year. I can't purchase any new clothes or accessories {this excludes undergarments!}. I've been doing TT365 off and on for three years. Whew!

I've had a few of you ask if I'll keep doing Thrifty Threads 365 in 2015 and the honest answer is, I don't know. That's why I need your help.

Some days it feels like fall {hey sunny and 50 degrees!} and other days we're in a deep freeze. That means deciding what to wear is super tricky. The easiest solution for getting dress on those in between days: layers! Layering can be tricky, because no one wants to look bulky. But all you really need is a few thin layers and a chunky knit you can easily remove if the day warms up.
Of course I had to rock a few of my affordable fashion finds on a fairly mild "winter" day in NYC.

The annual sale is held once a month in October, November and December and attracts thrifters seeking the best deals you can find on outerwear.
