How to Pack A Carry-On Like a Pro {7 Looks, 3 Pairs of Shoes & More!}
Packing a carry-on bag is a skill. Seriously, it’s a major skill to pack several outfits for several occasions in a single bag that can fit in the overhead compartment on a plane.

Though I consider myself the queen of carry-on, I know others who look at packing as a major challenge. And that’s why I teamed up with ESSENCE Live {Essence magazine’s weekly online show} to demonstrate exactly how to master the carry-on life.

I’ve done a few posts centered around packing a carry-on { Fashion Hacks to Make Travel Easier and Your Bags Lighter and What Not to Pack in Your Carry-On}

But this segment is me actually showing you how it’s done. I packed everything on air! I was able to fit several outfits for a four day weekend {including three pairs of shoes!} in a sturdy carry-on bag and there was still room to spare.

From multiple swimsuits and a beach bag to a formal night out to a casual day of sightseeing, we covered it all. And like I mentioned, three pairs of shoes and accessories were also in the bag.

For some of the awesome products I showed during the segment, here are links to buy/learn more:
H. Butler Mighty Purse {the clutch charges your phone!}
BooHoo bandage cut out swimsuit {great for lounging by the pool, but the top can also double as a bodysuit}
Akenya African print bikini {the bottom is a bit higher waisted, great at covering your tummy if you’ve been indulging on vacay}
Simply Vera Vera Wang nude pumps {if you’re only bringing one pair of heels, let it be a nude that goes with everything}
Forever 21 Donut Make Me Angry pajama set {lightweight pjs that take up little space}

The segment was so fun and I was glad to share my packing tips. Hopefully it was super helpful if you’re traveling soon.

*Also, during my segment I rocked my bodycon dress that I turned into a top {see the fashion hack here!}

Do you have any travel tips to pack a carry-on? How many pairs of shoes do you normally bring on vacation? Do you bring workout gear?
