Thrifty Threads 365: Transitional Jumpsuit for Every Season

Thrifty Threads 365 is a fashion challenge where I will only thrift shop for an entire year. I’ll show you how it’s easy and wallet friendly to satisfy your style needs with secondhand finds. For full details, check the original post here.
Thrifty Threads 365 challenge

Last week was all about how to rock a bodycon dress from day to night, but for this week’s Thrifty Threads, I wanted a look that was comfortable and chic for day to night,
When it comes to versatility, I’m really feeling jumpsuits. So I knew I had to whip out my Uniqlo jumper I scored from the Salvation Army. I previously wore this $7 jumpsuit in the dead of winter, but now I stripped down a few layers for a spring look.
Although thrift store prices are already affordable, I always try to shop for pieces that are multi-functional. When I say multi-functional, I don’t just mean from day to night but also from season to season. As mentioned earlier, I previously wore the jumpsuit in 30 degree weather with a pair of thick tights and a few layered shirts. And when the temperatures hit the mid-60s last week, I rocked the strapless jumpsuit with a printed jacket from Housing Works Buy the Bag.
The look is so easy and breezy and the printed jacket makes enough of a statement, so I went light on accessories, including LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s sunnies and my gold collar necklace from Lydell NYC. When I want a comfortable heel that offers breathing room, my Nine West cut out booties {last seen here} are my go-tos.
I’m already thinking of ways to wear the jumpsuit in the summer. I’ll undoubtedly ditch the jacket to reveal the strapless neckline and drape layers of necklaces and/or add a printed belt and a strappy sandal. It’s safe to say this $7 jumpsuit is getting some serious wear for the price.
Do you have a garment you wear throughout the seasons? What’s your most recent thrift store score you’re loving for spring?
