I’m so excited to be hosting another Ready, Set, Thrift! party with Housing Works. And not just at any Housing Works location, but their awesome Buy the Bag shop where clothing is $25 per bag. Yes, 25 bucks for an entire bag of clothing. In the past I’ve stuffed 40+ items in a single bag.
Too see how you can score tickets {which just went on sale!}, keep reading!

My last Ready, Set, Thrift! shopping event was in April {see the recap here} and we had a blast. Between the drinks and light bites, we got into some thrift shopping, including raffling off designer clothes and having interactive games.
Well, this Ready, Set, Thrift! will have all the same fun, but also the addition of a panel discussion. We’re starting the night off with a chat from Monroe Steele of Fashion Steele NYC, stylist Angela Denae and Helen Nurse, owner of TracyChambers Vintage. We’ll cover how to find the latest trends at a thrift shop, tips to style your thrifted garments in a chic way and simple solutions to incorporate vintage clothing in your modern wardrobe.
And of course I’ll be sharing some tidbits from my upcoming ebook, Looking Fly on a Dime: How to Find Fabulous Fashion at Any Thrift Shop and Make the Cheap Look Chic.
Then we’ll get to the thrift shopping. Housing Works Buy the Bag is the location where I’ve found Balenciaga booties, vintage Chanel pumps, Theory and more…and the clothes are $25 for a bag. I’ll be on hand to show you how to roll your bag tightly and get the most bang for your bag and buck! Also, we’ll have a bunch of raffle prizes throughout the night. I’m personally handpicking some of the raffles, so you know the clothes and accessories up for grabs will be fly.
We’re offering a limited number of ticket sales so everyone can shop comfortably, so snag your ticket in advance here. A $10 ticket gets you: admission, drinks, light bites, two complimentary tickets and the panel discussion. Additional raffle tickets can be bought.
On the day of the event, we may have a few tickets at the door for $15, but if you buy your ticket in advance, that’s the surefire way to guarantee entry.
If you’re in NYC, I hope you’ll come out for Ready, Set, Thrift! Tickets here.
