19 Jun 4 swimsuits for $44? Here’s the good and bad of ordering with Zaful
Have you ever seen a brand’s ads pop up in your Facebook feed and you say to yourself, “oh, that’s cute!”? That’s how I felt when I saw Facebook ads for Zaful for the millionth time. I didn’t really know much about the retailer other than they sell trendy stuff at affordable prices and they always seem to have a sale going on.
Sounds great, right? But shops like that can be hit or miss when it comes to quality. I knew this probably wouldn’t be the place I’d purchase a winter coat, but since I needed a few swimsuits for summer vacations, I figured I’d give Zaful a try.
For $44 I scored four suits. The total came to $55 with the addition of three pairs of earrings. As you would expect, there were some pros and cons.
During my hunt for a swimsuit, the site was having a really great sale, three suits for $33. Can’t beat that! I added a few to my cart and even picked up a fourth one because I loved it so much.
The first item was this canary yellow one piece. The scalloped edges instantly caught my eye. But hmm, with cheap-y brands like this, the details can look shoddy up close and personal. And guess what? I was right! While I liked the fit and cut, some of the seams near the crotch looked undone and the result of poor craftsmanship, which hey, can you expect anything less from such an affordable one piece? Overall I loved it but just don’t look too closely at the seams.
Next was this leopard print two piece. Since leopard is such a neutral, I knew I’d be able to mix and match it with other pieces in my closet. This suit was okay. I wish the bottom would have been a bit more high waisted but when I went back and looked at the pic on the site, it’s true to the photo. But the one major plus was the adjustable and removable straps.
One trend in swimsuits is the suspender style bottom so when I saw this on Zaful’s site, I snatched it up. I liked the bottom and the high waist style but the black bandeau top was horrible. Just waaaaay too tight. All of the suits I ordered were a medium but this fit like a small. I’m only an A-cup/small B and this top was uncomfortably snug. Though I’ll wear the bottom, the top has got to go.
Finally is this red bikini that I had to have because of the front ties. Again, another top that was a bit tight/small. Maybe I just have a wide back {?} but the top won’t offer much coverage if you’re a B cup or larger. And the padding seemed more visible in this suit than the others. But luckily it’s removable.
Overall I was happy with the suits, besides some snug fitting tops and the issue with the seams on the one piece. One thing also worth nothing, a few of the bottoms are a bit cheeky, especially the yellow one. So if you prefer more coverage on your bottom, some of the suits might not be for you.
And the shipping? I received my estimated delivery date {5 days} and a tracking number within a few hours. But even after checking the tracking number three days later, it stated my order had yet to be shipped. I contacted customer service who reassured me that in spite of the tracking info stating my order hadn’t been shipped yet, I would indeed still receive the package by the delivery date. I was skeptical. But surprisingly, the package arrived the next day! So I guess just ignore whatever update {or lack of an update!} your tracking number gives you.

I’d order from Zaful again but I would suggest trying them out first on an order like swimsuits or summer clothes and be mindful that any heavy detailing will just highlight it’s not a well made product. Also, while my order was on time, I’ve heard about shipping delays so be sure to give yourself enough time for any packages to arrive.
As for the earrings, keep an eye out on my Instagram, because I’ve been wearing them nonstop.
And speaking of Instagram, I’m uploading an IGTV where you can see the swimsuits in action from all angles. I’ll update this post soon with a link to the video.
