24 Jun Thrifty Threads: Finding Your Effortlessly Chic Weekend Style
Sometimes I just don’t feel like getting dressed. I love clothes but there are mornings when the act of putting thought into what I’m going to wear is just too much.
That’s the importance of a fashion uniform. And in particular, finding your weekend fashion uniform.
Remember those posts on defining your personal style? That really comes in handy when you need to get dressed in a pinch or with minimal effort. My style skews casual chic so I know what works best for me and a cutesy dress is my weekend go-to. It’s become a no-brainer for me at this point.
This thrifted dress from the Salvation Army {46th Street is one of my fave locations in NYC} was a great find. It’s a simple baby doll dress but the metallic hue and bow detail really take it over the top. Even if you’re wearing something fairly “basic,” it’s always the details that make it far from boring.
And if you follow me on Snapchat {PatriceJWill}, then these accessories should look familiar!
I’m obsessed with the discount store Lot-Less and during my last visit they had canvas sneakers for $5. So these palm tree beauties came home with me. Let’s be real, they were just $5 so they won’t last forever but they’re perfect for kicking around on the weekend.
And the fly cat eye glasses are the “Patrice.” Yes, a pair of glasses named after me. I featured Glori Joy on the site as a Dime Find of the Week and the owner created a pair of glasses for me…but you can buy them too! They’re the Patrice gold sparkle cat eye glasses.
The weekend can feel like a time when you just let your style go, but it doesn’t have to be. It’s totally possible to be relaxed and rock a look that’s all you!
What’s your go-to weekend outfit? How would you define your style?

Posted at 22:14h, 25 JuneLove the idea of a weekend fashion uniform! Over the years, it has changed for me – from tees and jeans to now “throw on” dresses (ones not requiring much, if any, ironing lol). I do try to alternate the “throw on” dresses with jumpsuits or rompers, at least for the summer. 🙂

Those “throw on” dresses are the best. They’re so easy but cute and fun! And I have 1 or 2 rompers that I also try to throw in the mix.
