Ah, the button down shirt. Pretty much everyone has at least one in their closet and you can find them at pretty much every, any store. And understandably so. The style is a classic.

But while you might wear a button down in the traditional way {buttoned down!}, you can absolutely have fun and remix it. You can even turn a button down into a trendy crop top and even a halter. Don’t believe me? I’m showing you how. And it’s ridiculously easy.

If there’s one item I’ve thrifted a lot over the years, it has to be a button down shirt. I find them in the women’s and men’s sections and embrace bold colors and patterns. But all too often, button downs can feel a little stiff and stuffy. So I wanted to have fun and try new styles with the same ‘ol shirt, which I scored for $2 from the Salvation Army a few years ago.

Once I started playing around with undoing a few buttons and even turning the shirt upside down!, I was amazed at how versatile and trendy a classic piece can be. And of course I had to make a video to show you exactly how you can also style your button down in fun ways.
