After taking a shopping hiatus, it’s safe to say I’m back in the swing of things. Instead of just buying stuff, I’m only purchasing clothes and accessories I love. Not like, not kinda sorta love, but LOVE!

When I found this colorful dress at Fox & Fawn a few weeks ago, I knew she deserved a space in my closet. At $10 she was a winner and the fit was absolute perfection. Like, she was made for me.

Last year I did a massive closet clean out because I only wanted clothes I loved and/or that serve my personal style. Since then I’ve refused to place anything in my closet that doesn’t make me feel fabulous.

This colorful A-line dress makes me feel amazing and it represents my overall style: flirty, feminine, sweet and bold!

I paired the fun dress with a few other thrift finds: a denim jacket I’ve had since forever and a pair of earrings from Mobile Vintage.

Also, though I love a good heel, I’ve found myself leaning towards booties and comfy sneakers. These canvas sneakers from Payless were just $15 and work with everything from skinny jeans to skirts and dresses of all lengths. And that’s actually a major trend now: dresses + sneakers. I plan on buying another pair of these {the Payless cashier gave me a $10 off coupon!} or one of the colorful, printed pairs I recently Instagrammed at Target.

This look is perfect for a casual day when you still want to be cute! But it can also be dressed up and make a major statement due to the bright hues. This is really the best of both worlds: casual and cool.
