25 Jun Thrifty Threads: Vintage Meets Target Short Set
It’s rare that I go to a department store and see something I absolutely have to have. That happened during my weekly visit to Target. I found the greatest short set of all time!!!
Well, maybe not the greatest, but it’s super cute and perfect for summer. Instead of wearing it as a set, I paired the shorts with a recent thrifted gem.
In yesterday’s thrift shopping tips for summer video, I mentioned how you can always find vintage tanks and t-shirts in the men’s section. This Harley muscle tank top was just $1 and the relaxed vibe juxtaposed the cutesy pom pom shorts.
As for accessories, I slipped into my metallic pumps from Machi Footwear {last seen here} and some thin bracelets, including a hot pink beaded one from Family Dollar that was just a buck!
These pom pom trim shorts are $20 at Target and they’re currently having a sale online, buy one get one 50 percent off {clothing, shoes or accessories}.
Like I said, the shorts have a matching shirt but I didn’t get the top. I only buy matching sets if I know I’ll wear both pieces individually as well as together. And in this case, I didn’t really love the shirt. But the shorts, they’ll be in heavy rotation. So never feel the pressure to buy a matching set unless you know you’ll get the maximum wear from it.
Do you normally buy matching sets? What’s the last item you purchased from Target?
