11 Feb Thrifty Threads – Little Black {Shirt} Dress
Though my style tends to favor girly skirts and sequins, sometimes I like to keep it plain and simple. And that’s exactly what I did this week. I absolutely adore shirt dresses and this Club Monaco number I found during my last Salvation Army thrift haul hit the sartorial spot. Shirt dresses are simple, yet chic and multi purpose. Dress one up with accessories and heels or go casual with flats. I chose the former. Though I mixed patterns and prints with my shoes and jewelry, they all have similar hues and gold accents.
{simple turquoise belt with a gold buckle and a beaded cuff}
{I don’t know what I love more, the brocade-like pattern or the gold heel}
Breakdown:
Dress: Club Monaco, thrifted for $4.50
Belt: thrifted for less than $1
Tights: $5, Strawberry
Shoes: thrifted for $5
Accessories: courtesy of My Roommates Kloset. Review of the accessories line next week, everything’s under $10.

Week 23 of my Thrifty Threads 365 challenge (a full year where I only buy second-hand clothing) is down. Only 29 more weeks to go!

Posted at 15:23h, 12 FebruaryThanks so much. I was really never in to Club Monaco, but surprisingly, I’ve found quite a few CM pieces at the Salvation Army (the shirt dress, black shorts, satin shorts with the tag still on them and a black skirt).
