15 Oct Thrifty Threads – Black & Blue & Sparkly
Last Friday I trekked out of my borough to hear Solange spin at Brooklyn Bowl. I knew I’d be dancing so I needed an outfit that was easy to move in and shoes that were sensible.
Earlier this week I told you about my new beloved sequin vest from Salvation Army. She’s sparkly and fun, so of course she had to make an appearance. With such a loud item, I kept the rest of the look simple: sheer white shirt, black jeans and boots. Though I love the combo of simple black and white, I had to have a little bit of color. I grabbed a cobalt blue clutch and was out the door to dance the night away.
Solange was great and the L train sucks!
Breakdown:
Vest: Thrifted for $3
Shirt: Thrifted for $1
Jeans: Forever 21, $12
Boots: Payless, $20
Clutch: Nine West, $25
Bracelets: gifted
Earrings: Forever 21, $4
Week six of my Thrifty Threads 365 challenge (a full year where I only buy second-hand clothing) is down. Only 46 more weeks to go!
