09 Feb Thrift Store Treasures – $3 Sequin Cropped Top
I’m a sucker for anything with sequins so I was over the moon when I found this gem. This sequin top from The Salvation Army is just my style. It’s fun, glam and the cropped style is flirty. There’s no tag but I loved the amazing details…
{tassels and flower detail at the shoulder}
{i didn’t even notice the beads at the hem until i got it home}
I found this a few months ago at the Salvation Army during Wednesday’s 50 percent off family day sale. I was amazed it was in such good condition and there weren’t any missing sequins, exposed thread, etc. I had no idea what I was going to wear it with but I rocked it with other pieces in my closet for a party in Brooklyn.
Thrift Tip:
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: If you’re digging through bins, it can be impossible and overwhelming to look at every. single. item. If your time and patience is limited, just keep a sharp eye out for fabrics and colors that fit your style. If you see something that grabs your eye, reach for it. You may just find a treasure.

Been reading your blog for a while and you got me hooked on thrifting!
This Monday Value Village (in Canada) had 50% off sale and I check it out…. Girl I had fun and score some unbelievable items!
BCBG silk top was priced @ $4.99, Joe Jeans, I can’t believed was priced @ $4.99( don’t think they knew what the brand was, cause Banana Republic,Gap and Guess were priced @$9.99 and up)
Two DKNY blouses, one silk top for Theory, yep Theory, Zara silk blouse and a DKNY spring jacket for a grand total of $26!
awesome….. Oh and how can I forget two silk scarves also… I was not able to identify whose they were but they were awsome finds!

Yeah, I’ve seen that a few times when higher end designer are priced lower than less expensive brands. I’ve seen Tracy Reese dresses for $1 less than one from H&M! It usually depends on how long the item has been on sale. The longer it’s on the sales floor, the lower the price.
Happy thrifting!
