On Saturday, April 26, I’ll be joining forces with Housing Works Buy the Bag for an evening of thrift shopping, drinks, light bites and more! Buy the Bag typically offers a bag full of clothes for $25 and for this event, they’re just 20 bucks.

I love sharing my favorite thrift stores with my readers and Housing Works Buy the Bag has been a fave for years. At $25 for a bag of clothes, I’ve stuffed up to 35 pieces in a single bag which averages less than 75 cents per garment. Last year I hosted an edition of Ready, Set, Thrift! with Goodwill, but this time around, we’re really amping it up with discounts, music and drinks and eats.

During this event, not only will bags be discounted to $20, but we’ll also have fun scavenger hunts {the prize is a free bag of clothes!}, raffles of vintage and designer goods I personally hand picked and drinks and snacks will be on hand {thanks to Dark Horse Wine and popchips for being sponsors}.

Tickets are limited, so you can get yours here. Each ticket ensures admittance, drinks, snacks and a raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets will be for sale. All of the proceeds benefit Housing Works, which aims to end homelessness and HIV/AIDS. Of course thrifting will be the focus of Ready, Set, Thrift!, but it’s really a party celebrating individuality and my motto that “your style is never determined by your style.”

We’re limiting tickets so everyone can shop comfortably. I hope you’ll come out for a great time and I’ll be on hand to share some of my thrift shopping tips to everyone in attendance.
