I'm all for trying "tricky trends" or unique garments, but this vintage dress I recently purchased was the trickiest of them all. But wait, it's not even a dress!I thrifted this "dress" last month and immediately feel in love...after I figured out how to wear it. 
Vintage clothing can get a bad rap. While I appreciate a garment that's 20+ years old, I totally get that some people think the pieces are outdated, tattered and hard to wear without looking costume-y. It's totally possible to style vintage threads in a modern way. Because remember, fashion is cyclical, so what's currently trending has already been done.Here's how I styled a few vintage clothes in a fun, even edgy way. 
I'm a creature of habit and if I have a garment I love, I wear it to death! What can I say? I like to get the most bang for my buck. So when glamour.com asked me to style one dress 10 different ways, I was up for the challenge. Though I can rock the same item repeatedly, I know how to rework it so it always looks fresh. And I take pride in making a "cheap" piece look like a million bucks. When and why did you start thrift shopping? I started thrift shopping in high school. As soon as I got my license and discovered my local Salvation Army, I was hooked! Moving to Philadelphia for college (I went to Temple University, like Patrice!) introduced me to an entirely new world of thrifting at consignment stores and vintage boutiques. I loved exploring the city by way of secondhand shops!
