thrift-store-haul-looking-fly-on-a-dime-thrift-style-affordable-fashion We have less than 30 days left in 2014 and that means I've been going strong with my Thrifty Threads 365 challenge for 11 months now! I can't believe the year is coming to an end, but I really can't believe TT365 is almost a wrap.

For November, I hit up a few Salvation Army locations, two to be exact. My scores range from a faux leather skirt with the tags still attached to vintage sweaters and a dainty purse.Check out a few of the items I thrifted this month and see how much I spent!

looking-fly-on-a-dime-vintage-dress-thrift-shop-thrift-shopping-fashion-discussion I've noticed something interesting happening to me. Well, it's nothing new, but as my Thrifty Threads 365 challenge comes to an end, I've realized thrift shop prices have spoiled me. When I see how much shirts, pants, dresses and especially shoes cost at department stores, I get major sticker shock. Like, I literally recoil and gasp.Thrift shopping has made me cheap!

thrifty-threads-365-thrift-store-style-looking-fly-on-a-dime Can you believe it's already November? That means two things: 1. Time for chunky knits and fly outerwear. 2. My Thrifty Threads 365 challenge is 10 months down with two more months to go.For all of 2014, I've solely relied on clothes and accessories from the thrift shop. I haven't spent a single penny on new threads. Oh, and I have a $50 thrift shopping budget each month.

When it's chilly out, but I still want to wear a dress and no tights, a long skirt is my go-to fashion choice. I purchased this Calvin Klein skirt a few months ago for less than $10 and it's safe to say I'm in love with her. I first wore the skirt during Fashion Week. Back then I paired it with a vintage crop top, but this time around I wanted a more conservative look for church. But of course I had to throw in a sporty jacket to mix it up.

For full details, check the original post here. Thrifty Threads 365: one dress, multiple waysThere's nothing I love more than wearing a single garment multiple ways. And that's exactly what I have with this printed dress. Well, it actually started out as a fishtail skirt {see the original post in 2010 when I had a tailor transform it from a skirt to a dress}. I immediately noticed the bold pattern when I saw it in a bin at the Goodwill Outlet. I wasn't feeling the skirt, but knew I could have a tailor convert it into a strapless dress. I've worn it as a dress and now I'm rocking it as a skirt with the addition of a t-shirt and belt {both thrifted!}.
