Maybe it's the actual garment and sometimes it's your disbelief that a certain store carries such a cute piece. That's what happened when I went thrift shopping two weeks ago. I found this cobalt blue full midi skirt and fell in love. It was the color. The cut. The knee length split. And I was amazed to discover it was from Old Navy. Yes, Old Navy! I've never shopped at Old Navy {besides their dollar flip flops}, but I was surprised such a chic piece originated in their store.

Well, during my last Today Show appearance, I loved a dress so much, I went back to the store and bought it. While I gravitate towards bold prints and structured garments, sometimes it's the most basic pieces that have a huge impact. That's what happened with this H&M tank dress that was just $12.95. It goes with everything and has been in heavy rotation in my closet for the past two months.
