Have you ever had an outfit that you planned around an amazing pair of shoes? Well, that's what I did with my most recent thrifty threads look. The weather in NYC was a bit mild and I wanted to whip out my Betsey Johnson sequin pumps from Marshall's. I'm a lover of all things sequins, so these shoes are my babies. I paired them with a few other cheap chic finds for a perfect spring look.

This is a pretty plain body con dress, but the detailing at the waist is what made me thrift it from the Salvation Army.

I decided to start a new feature on the blog: Fly Finds of the Week. These are pieces that add instant flair to your existing wardrobe. And best yet? Everything's affordable. I'll offer four picks every week at different price points {under $25, $25-$50, $50-$75 and $100 and under}.If you're in the market for a new "it" piece, look no further. You don't need to drop a load of cash to update your wardrobe. Just adding one of these pieces is enough. Below are four of my favorite items under $100.

The Old Bow and Chain Necklace, $22.99 A bold, fun necklace is a necessity in every accessory arsenal. And this gem from ModCloth would look equally amazing against a plain white tee and blazer or a LBD. The edgy and soft combo of the chain links and bow pendant work great together.Click more to see the rest of the Fly Finds of the Week.

This past weekend I had an exhilarating, awesome, yet exhausting experience at the Salvation Army. You already know I love the Salv {as evidenced in my hauls here and here} but this weekend was the mega Coat Sale. This was my first time attending and it certainly lived up to the hype. Not familiar with the Salvation Army Coat sale? It's held a few times a year and racks upon racks of coats {furs, trenches, bombers, shearlings, etc} are up for grabs. Prices range from $8-$50, depending on length and material.

After an hour and a half of shopping around, I had about 10 or 15 coats, which I eventually whittled down to five. My grand total was $93.94.Click more to see what I scored and a few tips if you plan on buying a thrifted coat.
