I'm absolutely obsessed with Celine bags, but paying a few grand for a purse, is something I can't see doing {oh, and it's way out of my budget}.But during my Pix 11 Savvy Shopper segment, I showed a viewer how to get fly affordable accessories. Naturally we went to Loehmann's for some economically reasonable retail therapy. They have designer pieces at up to 65 percent off, and last fall I snagged an amazing Ellen Tracy cape during their blogger preview event, so I know first hand your dollar can stretch here.

Thrifty Threads 365, looking fly on a dimeCapes are pretty trendy. But capes can also be pretty tricky to wear. Depending on the shape and length, it can swallow up your figure and be anything but flattering. But when I was invited to the Loehmann's fall preview a few months ago, one of the items I found was an awesome Ellen Tracy cape. I wasn't sure what I'd wear it with but I was willing to try the trend. Sigh, it's Fashion Week in NYC. Although I have a style blog and my background is in fashion, I kinda sorta hate Fashion Week. There, I finally admitted it. But, I still have to attend some shows and events so the inevitable question becomes what to wear. I love a girly dress, but I tend to go casual chic during Fashion Week, especially when Fall gives us chilly, rainy weather.Instead of an over the top outfit, I usually stick with one statement piece, typically a pair of heels.

Can you believe it's already September? Yup, another summer flew right by. Oh, and September 1 is also the two year blogiversary of Looking Fly on a Dime.
