Mirrored Jewelry Cabinet Accessories are every girl's BFF. They're the easiest way to dress up an outfit but it can also be tricky when it comes to storing them, especially if you have loads of baubles. Necklaces can get tangled, earrings can get misplaced and your collection can start looking a bit cluttered and messy. Tons of jewelry storage solutions are on the market but some can be kinda expensive. I have my eye on the Gold & Silver Safekeeper Mirrored Jewelry Cabinet by QVC but it's almost $200. Yikes!

Instead, I've found a cheap, fun way that lets me display my jewels.

For as long as I've been blogging {two years} and as long as I've been thrift store shopping {at least five years}, I get the same questions related to thrifting. I've done thrift shopping frequently asked questions before but I'm compiling the answers again for anyone who's new to the blog as well as adding some additional info.Q: How do I find a good thrift store in my area? A: Thrift stores aren’t created equally, so it’s really a matter of trial and error. It takes time to find the store that’s best for you. Take a drive or walk around your area to scope out secondhand shops, ask friends for referrals and visit websites for national chains like Salvation Army and Goodwill to find a location near you. And be sure to check out The Thrift Shopper, it’s a national directory of resale shops.

Today I'm deviating from the normal budget fashion and thrift tips to tell you guys how I spent my weekend. My friends and I hosted a vision board party. I'm a serious believer in the power of words and positive thoughts so my girl Danielle, The Frugal Fatshionista, and I decided to get together with the girls for a night of sharing our future hopes and goals with one another.And of course we had a great time without spending much cash. We set the scene at Danielle's place. We had affordable eats {everyone brought something to snack on and some takeout from Domino's} and items like plates, forks and even plastic wine glasses were from the dollar store. Seriously, the dollar store is my go-to place for party decorations and settings.

This past weekend I was in thrifter's heaven at the infamous Housing Works warehouse sale. The $25 Buy the Bag event featured bins, boxes and crates of thrifted clothing for anyone brave enough to deal with the 90 plus NYC weather. In last week's video I showed you how to prepare for a sale like this and now I want to share how the event went down.The awesome Housing Works staff let me take a peek at the scene before the hungry crowd entered. Several dozen bins were piled high with goodies.
