I'm a Goodwill addict, this has been established already. So imagine my surprise when I learned they were opening a location not too far from my hometown in Jersey.I made my way back to the Garden State to check out what this new location had to offer.Of course, I wasn't disappointed. The store was large, highly organized and had everything you could possibly want. Need a great dress? There were tons of Ann Taylor frocks. Want a pair of heels for $6? There were several racks. If you were in the market for random, fun items, they even had a pair of roller skates and a Snuggie.

{does the red skirt look familiar? it's Zac Posen for Target!}

Last week I indulged in my favorite past time (other than eating), thrifting! And of course I went to my tried and true location, the Goodwill Outlet in Long Island City, where clothing is price by the pound, at $1.69/lb.I typically walk away from this store with dresses and cute tops, but on this trip I lucked out and found some great jeans from 7 For All Mankind, Banana Republic and Antik Denim.

{about $1 per pair}

Last week I celebrated the big 2-8 and wanted to rock a fierce pair of heels. If I'm wearing a dramatic shoe, the rest of my look is pretty subdued. I went for an all black attire so my floral strap sandals were the center of attention. Aren't they cute!?Breakdown: Shirt: Club Monaco, thrifted from Goodwill for $1 Jeans: Forever 21, $12 Shoes: Critia sandals by Nina Shoes, free via Kitty Bradshaw's 2 year Blogiversary Bracelet: i forgot, but you know it was cheap! Last weekend was crazy hot on the east coast so I wanted a look that was casual (i.e. nothing clingy) but of course, still cute.I don't think I've ever worn cargo pants (I'm more of a skinny jeans kinda gal), but I was determined to work them in my wardrobe somehow. Pairing the cargos with a feminine top kept the outfit from being a little too rugged. I rolled the hem up and threw on some platform pumps to complete the look. It's definitely something different for me...
