Seeking Creative Contributors for 2014

The end of year is always crunch time for me. This is when I look back at what I accomplished in 2013 and what goals I plan to crush in 2014. Well, that’s where you come in. Yes, you.
As Looking Fly on a Dime continues to grow, I’m adding more content {I currently post three times a week, but want to up that to every day}, hosting more style segments {assistance with styling is needed} and upping the outfit posts {I’m in desperate need of a photographer}. So this is why I need help from fellow creatives.
Writers and Stylists:
Are you all about affordable fashion? Do you love sharing or creating a useful, easy to accomplish DIY? Can you contribute at least one post a week? And as I host on-air style segments {past shows have included the Today Show, Nate Berkus Show, etc}, having someone who can work with me to pull pieces and style outfits would be extremely helpful. There’s also an opportunity to assist on my thrift shopping tours.
Photographers, Videographers, Graphic Designers:
If you’re in the NYC area and are a great photographer or videographer, I desperately need you. I’m contemplating resurrecting my Thrifty Threads 365 challenge, so that means weekly outfit pics. And if you’re a rockstar graphic designer or illustrator {you don’t have to be located in NYC} with out of the box ideas, I’d love to have you on board.
Marketers, Publicists, Event Planners:
Having a vision is great, but being able to execute is what it’s really about. If you have experience in marketing or public relations and know the importance of execution, I want to hear from you. Also, as I start to host more events, a supremely detail oriented event planner would be awesome.
If you’re a fellow creative and one of the positions above describes you, certainly drop me a line: Patrice {at} LookingFlyonaDime.com. You should be self motivated, a stickler for deadlines and details and an independent worker.
To apply {send ALL info below in an email, no attachments}:
  • Tell me about yourself: what you do and what your future career goals are
  • Send along any links to past work {photography, graphic design, writing, etc}
  • Include three potential ideas you’d love to work on {blog posts, events, locations for shooting outfit photos, video series, etc.}.
Before submitting, please familiarize yourself with the site and send along unique ideas that really highlight your creativity and individuality.
The positions are unpaid, but in addition to learning about brand building and blogging:
  • If you’re a current student and able to get college credit through your university, we can work on making that happen.
  • For NYC based interns, you’ll have the option to attend events and network with industry leaders
  • Go on set with me to learn the ins and outs of hosting television style segments.
  • For writers, your blog posts will link to your website, social media channels, etc.
  • Photographers and videographers can build up budding portfolios
Send along your info and good luck!
