25 Apr Ready, Set, Thrift! – Saturday’s Shopping Party
Tomorrow {Saturday} is my second installment of Ready, Set, Thrift! and I couldn’t be more excited. The thrift shopping party is being hosted at Housing Works Buy the Bag in Brooklyn. You guys already know I’m a hardcore Buy the Bag fan and at $25 for a bag full of clothing, what’s not to love?
For tomorrow’s event, clothes will be just $20 per bag! I’ve managed to stuff close to 40 items in a single bag, so that’s some serious bang for your limited buck.
During Ready, Set, Thrift!, if you need to take a little break from shopping, we’ll have light bites on hand. There will be drinks from Dark Horse Wine, snacks courtesy of popchips and cocktail patties from Golden Krust.
But that’s not all. In addition to discounted bags of clothing {just $20 vs. $25}, throughout the evening we’ll be raffling off designer and vintage clothes and accessories. If you’re one of the lucky winners, you’ll have a bunch of items to choose from. Just last week I visited Buy the Bag and curated a few pieces for the raffles, including…
Diane von Furstenberg silk top
Valentino jacket and pleated skirt
Catherine Malandrino dress {with the tags still attached}
Pucci blouse
Some of the accessories include Sam Edelman flats, floral Casadei booties, United Nude reverse heel sandals and never worn Calvin Klein flats.
Ready, Set, Thrift! is this Saturday, 4/26, from 5-7:30pm at Housing Works Buy the Bag. Grab your ticket here and it guarantees admission, food, drinks and a raffle ticket. And of course I’ll be hostess and dishing on thrift shopping tips, style advice and more.
If you’re a newbie, here are some strategies on how to shop Buy the Bag. This short video breaks down what you should bring and even wear.
We may have tickets at the door, but I highly advise you purchase tickets in advance. Hopefully I’ll see you at Ready, Set, Thrift!
