Last Saturday my afternoon consisted of brunch and a trip to Sears. Yes, Sears. I haven’t been inside one of their stores in at least six months. But now that my Thrifty Threads 365 challenge is over, I’m back to seeing what major department stores have to offer and if they’re worth the price. Well, there was good and bad. From the high price and low quality of the Kardashian Kollection to the Sears line I wish more people would pay attention to, see what’s in store at...

This weekend I went shopping with my cousin since she wanted to find an outfit for an 80s pool party, so we naturally went to Joyce Leslie. The affordable fashion retailer is a staple on the East Coast. Until this weekend, I hadn’t stepped foot in one of the stores in years, but as an undergrad, I shopped at Joyce Leslie at least every other week when I wanted a cute $20 dress. I found a few pieces and couldn’t resist trying them on. When I Instagrammed the houndstooth dress above, you guys all commented on how amazed you were at this being at JCP. It was affordable and super chic. Besides having a really amazing sale going on, I had no trouble finding work appropriate wear, casual...

Earlier this week I did what I normally do at least once a week: I went to Target! As expected, I found a ton of affordable fall options, including some stylish outerwear, bold accessories and even remnants of the latest designer collaboration. I was really impressed with the variety of boots, luxe for less purses and I was amazed to find two racks full of Phillip Lim for Target pieces.
