04 Feb Thrifty Threads: A Casual Way to Wear Over the Knee Boots
Recycling outfits is a must if you’re on a budget or simply looking to maximize your wardrobe. But just because you’re “recycling” doesn’t mean your look has to be boring. That’s why I prefer the term remixing or reworking.
For the last Thrifty Threads I rocked these suede over the knee boots and this week I’m showcasing the same boots but it a more casual style and with pieces I’ve previously worn before. Again, it’s about remixing what you’ve already got!
If you like over the knee boots but want to dress them down a bit, the easiest way to do so is with a pair of skinny jeans and a casual top.
The jeans are by Denizen {currently on sale at Target!} and are kinda high-waisted, which makes them great for pairing with a fitted tank that can be tucked in. And it’s finished off with a chunky sweater, which I thrifted from the men’s department {last seen here}.
These over the knee boots were purchased from TJ Maxx at least four years ago and they were the best $40 or $50 I spent. They’re super comfortable and the color is impactful without being overly bright.
As for accessories, I went simple with a thrifted Zara necklace and a Forever 21 wide brim hat {currently on sale for less than $16!} I’m absolutely obsessed with.
Stay tuned to the blog because I’ll show you yet another way to style over the knee boots. These are the only pair of OTK boots I have and honestly, they’re all I need. Because when you have the right pieces, you don’t need a ton of them.
Do you have a pair of shoes you wear with a variety of outfits? How do you maximize your wardrobe?
