18 Apr Outfit Ideas for Rainy Days
I’m so happy the weather is finally getting nicer and Spring has sprung. But you know what else that means? Spring showers. When the rain starts, it can put a serious damper on your outfit choices. The downpour means the shoes you really want to wear have to stay in the closet and some garments aren’t appropriate for gusty winds. But you don’t have to let the rain cramp your style.
Check out a few outfit ideas that are fashionable and functional for different occasions and styles. These four looks are perfect for a rainy day.
Trench Coat
A trench coat is a necessity for every spring wardrobe. It looks chic and sexy and some are even waterproof. To up the style factor on your basic trench, swap out the belt it came with for a statement belt. A woven belt works perfectly, as does a bright, floral one that’s so fitting for the season.

Stylish Rain Boots
Let’s be real, some rain boots are clunky and far from stylish. But a pair that has fun details, like the monogrammed Zoubaby’s or a bold print and trim, work perfectly. You can wear these all day {work or weekend} and feel your best all while keeping your feet dry. Tuck them in to skinny jeans and a nice button down.

Sheath Dress
When you’re heading out for the night, you way want to stick with a heel but one that’s reasonable is a must. A pair of rubber heeled boots do the job and give you a bit of height. An A-line dress is a bit tricky when the wind picks up, so the sheath dress {like thisNarciso Rodriguez for Kohl’s Derek Lam for Kohl’s} lays close to your body and won’t go blowing in the wind. And you can’t forget a textured bag to top it off.

Sneakers
On days when you want to be as casual as possible, you can’t beat a pair of Chucks and black skinny jeans. An oversized cardigan keeps the chill away and a bright top underneath adds a fun pop of color and print.
