19 Mar Housing Works Best of Spring Thrift Shopping Event

It’s that time of year again for the Housing Works Best of Sale! I’m a huge Housing Works fan {you know I’m obsessed with the Buy the Bag sale, $25 for a bag full of clothing!} and the Best of is a biannual event where their 12 thrift shops offer the best of their thrifted goods, including vintage and designer clothes, accessories, art, home decor and more.

Basically, if you want a curated collection of the best of the best, this is the place to be. The sales are so intense that people line up hours in advance and the stores close the day before to make way for the merchandise.

This Saturday {March 21} is the next Best of sale at the Brooklyn Heights Housing Works {122 Montague Street}. I’ve never been to this location, but I can’t wait to see what’s in store. I’m all about savings on top of savings and this is the perfect opportunity to get one-of-a-kind threads for a fraction of the retail value. And the proceeds support the Housing Works mission to eradicate AIDS and homelessness by providing medical care, housing and job training for New Yorkers.

I’m hoping to find some goods for my spring and summer wardrobe{flirty dresses and colorful pumps!} and I really want to score statement accessories so I can do a giveaway for you guys!

Here’s a rundown of the upcoming Housing Works Best of sales. Entry to the sale is free and if you’re a Housing Works member, you get one hour early access. Trust me, you want to make your way to at least one of these sales and be sure to say hi if you see me at Saturday’s sale!

If you’re not in NYC, shop Housing Works online. Yes, you can avoid the crowds and thrift from the comfort of your home. It doesn’t get any more convenient than that.
