04 Nov Goodwill Haul – Home Goods
Last Sunday was pretty tame for me. I enjoyed an awesome service at church, made a hearty lunch and then I checked in to twitter and noticed Goodwill (@GoodwillNyNj) was having a 50 percent off sale at one of the locations near me. I had no intention of shopping on this lazy Sunday, but I felt like this was I sign. I had to drop off a donation anyway and the store was just 3 blocks from my house. I figured I’d just browse.
Of course, that didn’t happen. But this time something different happened. I walked away without a single item of clothing, but scored some other great stuff.
{the print and gold heel immediately caught my eye. $5}
{i love the sheer panels on the side of these BCBG heels. $5}
Click more to see the adorable home items I scored {including a picnic basket} and another thrift store shopping tip I swear by.
I’ve never managed to find home good items at Goodwill but this was my lucky day.
{i can’t wait until the weather is nice and i can have a picnic in Central Park. $2.50}
{these airtight containers are perfect for storing pasta or flour. $3 each}
{i plan to use these to house some accessories. $1 each}
Tip: If you’re serious about thrifting, be sure to follow your local store on Twitter. They tend to announce last minute sales this way.
