29 Jan Getting Red Carpet Ready with P&G Beauty
Well, the above is a bit deceiving. I’m not exactly gracing anyone’s red carpet {just yet!}, but I do have to occasionally get glammed up for TV segments and photo shoots for my Thrifty Threads 365 challenge. Though paparazzi may not be snapping my pics or yours, it’s important to have a killer beauty routine to go with any style.
And since everything I do is on a budget, that’s where P&G Beauty products come in. You know their brands: Olay, Pantene, COVERGirl, Secret, etc. Instead of dropping major cash on department store beauty buys, P&G keeps me covered before, during and after I need to get glammed up or anytime I’m ready to have all eyes on me.
I braved the cold a few days ago for a style shoot, but before I even stepped into my threads, pre-prep involved Olay Sensitive Body Wash. With temps below freezing, it’s super important to have a cleansing routine that keeps you silky smooth and doesn’t strip your body of any moisture. And when I know I’m going to be flashing a smile, Crest 3D Professional White Whitestrips are also a must. Because professional whitening isn’t in my budget, I use these every night, especially since I’ve started drinking coffee lately {shout out to vanilla blonde roast!}.
With the prep done, I’m finally ready to get photo shoot fresh…but not before I use my COVERGIRL Bombshell Volume mascara. Anyone who knows me knows I’m obsessed with lashes. Even when you don’t have a full face of makeup, a few swipes of mascara and lipgloss are all you need. And anyone who knows me knows I also have really sparse lashes, but the Bombshell mascara really works with my wispy lashes to give major volume.
It really only takes a few products to get ready and put your best foot forward. Be sure to tune in tomorrow for my full outfit reveal.
Have you ever used any of the products above? What steps do you take/products do you use when it’s time to get all dolled up? Do you have a favorite beauty buy under $10?
