22 Oct Thrifty Threads: The Perfect Bootcut Jeans for Fall {and they’re $30!}
I’m a skinny jean lover, so I was a bit surprised when bootcut jeans started to trend. But, I’m here for them! They’re actually a nice departure from the skinnies. And last month I found a perfect pair.
Like most women, I kinda hate shopping for jeans. My dilemma is they’re too long and/or I have gaping at the waist. But whether you’re a size 2 or 20, it just seems difficult to find the one.
But these Denizen bootcut jeans from Target fit perfectly. No tailoring needed and less than $30!
Of course I had to pair the jeans with my thrifted finds, including a button down Zara shirt and a Ralph Lauren Rugby blazer. It’s a bit of a preppy look {so not my typical style!}, but I guess I was feeling like a prepster.
As for accessories, I layered a handcuff chain from Bling Jewelry and a statement necklace from a random NYC vendor. And though the blazer has a bold crest, I added a $1 brooch I scored at a flea market a few weeks ago. And I can’t forget about my fringe bag, also thrifted and a major trend for the season.
While I was a bit hesitant to jump on the bootcut wagon, these Denizen jeans sold me. The style can actually make you look a bit longer and leaner.
Are you into the bootcut jean? What’s your favorite style of denim?

Wow, over a decade? That’s amazing.
The blazer is one of my faves and the brooch just added that special touch!
