28 May Cubicle Chic: What to Wear This Summer in a Cold Office
Summer marks the beginning of the annual air conditioning wars in every office. You and your co-workers are all in the same building but some are slightly chilly, others are cold and some people are downright freezing. This leaves women everywhere dealing with this peculiar style dilemma: how to keep warm in the summer when your office blasts the AC.
Keep reading to learn how to win the battle of the chilly office. Hint: it’s all about some light layering.
Sweater / Dress / Necklace / Wedges
If you’re freezing, try pulling out one of your long wrap sweaters from your winter storage. Leave this sweater at your desk as it’s probably too warm to wear outside. It’s the closest thing to wrapping yourself in blanket {but oh so much chicer} and it looks great over a stylish maxi. Now don’t get too cozy because there’s no sleeping on the job!
Sweater / Blouse / Skirt / Wedges
If you’re cold, try a traditional cardigan, but in a vibrant color or print. It’s also a great option for those brisk morning and evening commutes. Try a breathable fabric like cotton or a linen blend.
Kimono / Blouse / Capris / Heels
If you’re only slightly chilly in the office, try a kimono with fringe detail. The extra layer adds the right amount of warmth, but is still breathable when worn outside. Plus, it’s a super trendy piece that effortlessly translates from work to the weekend.
Does your office get colder as the days get warmer? How are you keeping warm in your frigid office?

Posted at 15:21h, 28 MayAs soon as my office sees a little sun the A/C comes on. I ALWAYS have a sweater at my desk. As well I ALWAYS carry a sweater or jacket with me everywhere I go, just in case.
Thanks again. Love the tips. More on layering please. I struggle with this.
