29 Oct Cubicle Chic: 3 Ways to Wear White Shoes {You Won’t Look Like a Nurse, Promise}
Women of the world, repeat after me: wearing white after Labor Day is perfectly acceptable. And while it can be a bit tricky, white shoes are pretty fly and having a serious moment. They just need to be styled with care.
This week I’ll show you how to wear white shoes for the office and beyond. Trust me, you won’t look like a nurse or a five year old on Easter Sunday.
Sweater / Skirt / Heels / Bag / Earrings
For a a modern, yet throwback inspired look that screams retro chic, try this River Island midi skirt. The Guess cutout heels combined with a shrunken Topshop sweater add a bit of edge to the ladylike skirt. Top it all off with an icy blue bag and silver hoop earrings.
Blouse / Pants / Earrings / Bag / Shoes
Your look doesn’t always have to be so matchy-matchy. Why not have fun with prints and bold hues? The burgundy tote gives some contrast to the olive draped shirt. If you’re afraid of printed pants {they’re not always figure flattering!}, try an option like these from Topshop. The darker color is much more slimming. Finally, the ModCloth loafers are the finishing touch to pull it all together.
Blazer / Cami / Pants / Earrings / Bag / Heels
Finally, try your hand at the white shoe trend by incorporating them into a Scandal inspired power suit. Start with an H&M blazer, cami and tailored grey pants. Add stylish elements like a striped handbag and decorative stud earrings. The Steve Madden pumps are a trendy white, but the pointy toe style is classic. This look is guaranteed to have you strutting around the office handling any and everything. Don’t forget to end your day with a glass of red wine {Olivia Pope would approve!}.
Are you still on the fence about wearing white shoes? How do you wear a tricky trend?
