04 Feb Cubicle Chic: 3 Ways to Style a Midi Skirt for all Body Types
I can’t believe this is already our fifth week into the Cubicle Chic series – oh, how time flies! While we’re in the midst of taking our office attire from drab to fab, it seems only fitting to mention a piece that has been around for decades. The midi skirt is the definition of sophistication. If styled right, it’s a classy way to show off your figure and change up your look.
And if you’re confused on how to wear the length {midi skirts can fall just below the knee or a few inches above the ankle!} for your particular body type, check out the looks below.
skirt/ sweater / bag / earrings / heels
For hourglass shapes opt for a jersey pencil midi. It will hug you in all the right places, accentuating your small waistline and flaunting your killer curves. Pair it with a cropped sweater (long enough to cover your midsection, but short enough to see your waist) and a ankle strap pump.
skirt / shirt / heels / necklace / bel
Those who are pear shaped with a little more on the bottom half, a loose flowing midi is great in a solid. Pair it with a skin toned shoe to elongate your legs and play it up with fun accessories, like a statement necklace and leopard clutch.
skirt / jacket / sweater / belt / heel
A midi skirt is also great for those who are looking for a more womanly figure. If you find yourself with a boyish shape, a midi with volume and structure will give you the ladylike curves you seek. Balance the look out by layering with a blazer or leather jacket on top.
Have you mastered the midi skirt? How do you wear the midi to work and for your specific shape?
