A few weeks ago was my last thrift shopping tour at the Goodwill Outlet and surprisingly, I walked away with just as many accessories as clothes. These weren't just any accessories, but there were a few vintage gems. And at $1.69 per pound, they were serious scores.I only found a handful of cute clothes, but it turns out the accessories were more valuable {when it comes to styling}.

I've done quite a few posts on the do's and don'ts of thrifting {check out thrift shopping 101 and 10 Thrift Commandments}, but I've never really done anything on thrift etiquette. Well, after this weekend, I had to change that.For the past decade, I've been a serious secondhand shopper and I've seen a lot of things, but I'm noticing people are becoming increasingly aggressive and some are just jerks.

How did you style your outfit and what styling tips do you have? The styling tip I would offer is know what works best for you and finding inspiration through magazines, blogs or where ever. I like to invest in basic pieces that are classic and can be worn multiple times with multiple things.

  looking fly on a dime vintage dressLast week was my Best Dressed Madame event that I hosted during Essence Music Festival and we had an amazing time. Along with my co-hosts Carmen from Lipstick Fashion Mascara and Tiffini of Atlanta Tastemaker Magazine, the night was full of drinks, light bites and fashionable fun. I'll have a full recap for you next week, but for now, let's just focus on what I wore.

Our event was held at May Baily's Place at the Dauphine Orleans Hotel. The bar used to be a brothel {cheeky!}, so our theme was all about dressing up in an over the top, sassy, fun way. I kept my look fairly subdued since I'd be hosting, but I didn't hold out on the glamour.
