Thrifty Threads 365: No New Clothes for a Year Fashion ChallengeAs mentioned earlier this week, emerald green is having a serious moment.
And as I also mentioned, I barely wear green. But I finally remembered this vintage dress I scored a few years ago and it was finally time to take it out of the depths of my closet.
If you think major cities are the only places you can score at thrift stores, I'm here to tell you that's so not true. I found this Pat Richards dress a few years ago while visiting family in Ohio and it was just $8. The store was in a small town but had a ton of amazing finds {be sure to check out my previous post: Benefits of Thrift Shopping in a Small Town}.
This was my first time wearing the dress and I absolutely fell in love with it. I felt like I was floating on air.

Thrifty Threads 365: See how readers scored statement making piecesI seriously can't believe it's already March and I really can't believe Thrifty Threads 365 is heading into its third month. Though I love showing you guys my Thrifty Threads outfit posts, I really love seeing how you guys are surviving TT365. Because let's be honest, it's not easy giving up shopping for new clothes for a year. While some of you are doing the full year of thrifty threads, others are doing a few months.
And you've been great about tagging your photos with #ThriftyThreads365 and I love what I'm seeing. Last month I showed you how one reader transformed her thrifted palazzo pants in to three different dresses. And for this month, here are a few of my favorite photos from readers who are participating in Thrifty Threads 365.

Thrifty Threads 365: No New Clothes for a Year!
Earlier this week the East coast finally had a respite from the massive inches of snow,  but then it began to rain. Don't get me wrong, I'll take rain over snow, but both elements can really put a damper on your style game and especially your footwear.
Luckily I have a few go-to looks and boots for snowy, slushy and/or rainy days. When I need to put the heels away but don't want a clunky wellies, I step into my zigzag vintage boots I scored for less than $10 from the Salvation Army.
